Rehearsal:
Let My Love Be Heard
-We listened to yesterday’s recording and fixed some stuff
-Crescendo on the oohs in the beginning.. start quieter so you have somewhere to go
-Altos be mindful of the tenuto on page 2
-Tenors need to speed up a little bit on the “Angels where you soar” part- it’s dragging
-Bottom 3 parts, don’t be overpowering when the sopranos have melody
-Basses worked on the part when the women sing “whispering” and they have a changing note
-Don’t go flat when you descend
-Ahhh section picked up much faster
-On the last page, the descending “Ahhh’s” need to flow rather than sound choppy
-We also worked on our entrance for the last page
My Soul
-We also listened to this recording and went over things
-The first word, “In” needs to be heavy
-“Da” needs to be taller because we just sound like a bunch of hillbillies when we sing “duh”
-Remember to Pulse on “Lord”
-DO NOT add a ‘t’ at the end of Lord
-vowels need to be worked on throughout the song
-Tenors worked with Mr. Leonard on not pushing
-We also need to add more feeling into the song
-Right now, ‘my’ is chewed
-The end is boring

Homework:
-Bring in items for the Basket!!!
