Today we went over Eja Eja mostly working on rhythms. We also ran through Irish blessing working on getting our notes down well. 

A large majority of the class was talking about our Exam/Final. Like last semester, we will have a written exam and sight reading, at level 4. But unlike last semester a large portion of our grade will be a solo we will sing in front of the class. 40% of the grade is the performance 10% is a 1 page MLA formatted paper about the song you will sing. We all got a sheet of paper outlining the weighing of the parts and the criteria of our solo. If you were absent you will get it tomorrow.

Announcements

We have 7 school days until our Spring Concert! A reminder that our concert moved to Friday, May 17th.  The dress rehearsal is TWO DAYS before the concert on Wednesday May 15th. Make sure you are available to attend both, as they both are test grades.

The end of the year chorus picnic is Monday May 13 from 4-6 at Womble Park. The chorus booster will provide fried chicken. Concert Choir is to bring a side to share, Beginning Choir is to bring a dessert to share and CV is to bring individual waters or gatorade to share. This event is only for chorus students. Please do not invite non-chorus students to the picnic.  The booster board will serve at the chaperones for the event. If your parent would like to attend, they can come hang out with the booster board parents, and maybe we can convince them to serve on the board next year! Either way, we hope many chorus students can come next Monday. If you have yard games, or balls, frisbees etc, please bring those too.

Ticket are now on sale for the Spring concert on May 17th.  Sales will be opened to the general public on May 12th so get your tickets early.  Go on the chorus website to click the link to buy your tickets online!
