Concert Choir 10/10

Butterbraids will be delivered TODAY.  You need to make sure you have a way to pick up your butterbraids and get them into a freezer within 2 hours after you pick up at 2:20 at school.  If you sold more than 12 butterbraids, and you typically ride the bus, you need to consider getting someone to pick you up that day and help you get your butterbraids home. If you have an after school practice, you need to get someone else to pick up your butterbraids for you and get them into a freezer.  If you have concerns or questions about getting your butterbraids in a freezer you need to email Mrs. Patchett asap.
We have a spirit night at Blaze Pizza Oct 18 from 5-9 pm.  Go to dinner that night at Blaze Pizza and mention the chorus to support the program!
Reflections - Consider applying for the PTSA reflections competition - For Music it is Music Composition.  All styles of music and instrumentations are accepted. Entrant must be the composer and may also be the performer or one of the performers.  Audio file may not be more than 5 min and 200 MB in size.  Notation (in score or tablature) are required in PDF format too. Thumb drives are the acceptable way to turn in the competition.  You can write a piece on guitar and lyrics for example and turn in a recording of you singing it along with the written out words witht he tabs.  You could write a piano composition with no singing.  You could write a whole orchestration or string quartet.  You could write a 4 part choral piece.  The sky is the limit.  The entries are due Nov. 2.  See Mrs. Patchett if you are interesed.

In class we reviewed Hallelujah Chorus from last year and ran it as best we could. Also we let the men practice o come by themselves in the hall while the girls worked the women's piece and numbered measures.
