In My Very Own we ran the entire song and then went back and we were asked where we think our part needs help. We went page by page identifying and fixing several small problems, some being, the altos notes in 15-16, the tenors and altos notes in 31-34, and we worked on both soprano 1 and 2 parts in 47-50. We also talked a lot about having an expressive face and engaging your face muscles since it helps everyone be in key and all sing roughly the same pitch. In Take Me to the Water we mainly worked on pages 6-7 reminding ourselves on all our parts and working on being strong in our parts and getting the timing down between the basses and everyone else.

All students - it is cold and flu season.  PLEASE PLEASE make sure you wash your hands OFTEN and drink a lot of water.  DO NOT drink after each other! You may feel fine now, but you might be sharing a cold you don’t know you have yet.  Bring your OWN water bottle to school and drink at least 64 oz of water a day!!!!
