Concert Choir, Tuesday 02/21/17

Rehearsal Notes and Assignments: Today we got in our places on the risers and Sight sang the advanced rhythm and the SATB Intermediate on page 20. After sight Singing, we went through Sing Me to Heaven and discussed things like matching vowels, blending, notes (basses), and matching the 's' sound. Sopranos make sure you aren't too loud on the 'sing me to heaven' part at the end. Keep tall vowels throughout the piece and watch the conductor at ALL TIMES!! Then we went over I'm Gonna Sing where the basses ran through their 'it was grace' part and the rest of us worked on the 'oh my jesus'. Remember to sound super surprised on the 'oh'. Some altos were added to tenor and we will reveiwbeverything again tomorrow! Only 5 rehearsals to MPA make sure you are focused during class and reviewing your music at home :) Mrs. Covington is coming tomorrow!!

-Phantom of the Opera Tickets are on sale to the general public now. Get your tickets before they are all sold out! The show is Feb 23, 24, & 25.  The shows are a 7 pm each night and there is a matinee on Feb 25 at 2 pm in addition to the 7 pm show. 

-Mark your calendars - we will have a Spirit Night at Blaze Pizza on Monday March 6.  That’s MPA day! After a great day at MPA, you can go to BLAZE PIZZA and have dinner. 

-All All State Field Trip Forms should be in at this point.  If you have not turned in your All State Field Trip Forms, you need to email Mrs. Patchett.
-Mrs. Covington and Mr. Butler will be coming this week to help us with our MPA music!! Yay!
