Concert Choir 9/14/16

Rehearsal Notes and Assignments:
Prayer of the Children - pages 3&4 measures 1-12
     Make sure vowels are tall especially on 'softly' and 'light'
     Crescendo into "help me" on page 4 measure 9
     Don't breathe after "morning light" on page 4 measure 10
     Pay attention to dynamics & go over your voice part's pitches

Homework:
Depending on what group you were in today during music theory, complete the homework (if any) assigned to you by the leader of your group!

Today in class, we split into 3 different groups based on your music theory ability and the results of your pretest. These are the subjects each group focused on...
     Ms. McGrath's Group: Note Naming
     Mrs. Patchett's Group: Key Signatures
     Katie & Leah's Group: Minor Relatives and Minor Relative Scales

Announcements:
 -Sell Butterbraids - Money and order forms are due on Tuesday September 20th!
-Spread the Word -we are having a mattress sale! Try to get at least one person to come to buy a Mattress! The mattress sale is Sept 24!
-Honors Chorus Rehearsal Thursday and Friday all lunch this week
-Chorus room is closed at lunch today
-If you can help alphabetize forms at lunch tomorrow, please raise your hand.
-We need to put the rest of the Mattress yard signs out and around Holly Springs.  There are still many in the chorus room and are not doing any good advertising while sitting in the cardboard box.  If you can take a yard sign up and put it up around town, in your yard or on a main road, please take a yard sign or several and help us out! - If you put them off the main road, please put them at least 3 feet away from the main road.
-Music Boxes are here! We need help organizing the music library - If you can stay after Monday next week and you raised your hand yesterday, please stay after on Monday.
-How to turn in money: - Don't give it to Mrs. Patchett. Put the check in an envelope, and write on the envelope your name, what the money is for, what choir you're in, the money amount, and your phone number. DO NOT put cash in the Grey box without getting a receipt from Mrs. Patchett.
-Men- try on concert attire before tomorrow. The tux altering lady is coming Friday. If you're missing pieces, tell Mrs. Patchett by Friday so that an order can be placed.
-Ladies- try on your dresses as well
