Rehearsal Notes And Assignments:

My Bonny Lass- Pages 2 and 3 measures 1-13

     Worked on pitches and timing

     Soprano 1's practice where you come in on the falalas measure 6

     Remember to get off the 'F' in Falalas because it sounds bad to sing "ffffffaaa" it should be "faaa"

     Keep it light and full of energy 

     Don't forget to mark in your music if your voice part switches lines so you aren't confused 

Danny Boy- Page 4 measures 10-16 (finished song)

     Soprano 2's measure 13 practice the D flat... you will want to sing a D natural but it's flat!!

     Don't resolve on measure 12

     Altos split into 2 parts remember some notes are unison

     Breathe where there are breath marks noted or else you will be out of air

     Remember the song is to be sung 'tenderly' so make sure you sound tender and nice :)

Prayer of the Children- Page 5 measures 26-28

     We did Ta di's on the 'woh lah dah dah dohm' for our voice part

     (Practice rhythm at home)

Announcements:

The mattress sale is THIS SATURDAY! Ask everyone you know if they need a mattress then if they do, tell them to come to our Mattress Sale on Saturday from 10-5 pm.

Butterbraid orders and money were due Yesterday! If you have them - today please take it out after announcements. 

The Chorus Room and arts hallway are Closed at Lunch Today (Wednesday)

Honors Chorus Rehearsal is Thursday and Friday this week.
Honors Chorus  Students - Does anyone have their field trip form to turn in? 

MEN - your field trip forms for Male Choral Invitational are due TOMORROW!

Don’t forget - There is an optional Musical Workshop Oct 13th A Lunch.  It might run into B lunch also.

Students who want to audition for 9-10 Select Choir at Wingate - Essays are due Oct 14th.  You need to be prepared to record your audition on Oct. 14th also.  See the Chorus Website for more information.
