Rehearsal Notes & Assignments:
We Wish You A Merry Christmas- Pages 2-6 measures 8-30
-Remember Altos and Basses are unison at the beginning
-Sopranos and Tenors are unison at the beginning
-Make sure when you're holding 'Christmas' you hold the 'aaaaaa' not the 'ssss'
-Altos and Basses come in on beat 3 in measure 11
-Sopranos drop the octave from measure 25-26
-Everyone circle your rests in measure 28 because it can be confusing
-Basses remember to go up on 'year' not down
-Try to figure out where your part lines up with other voice parts to help you out
SECTIONALS
Men- O Come O Come Emmanuel
-If you already knew it, you reviewed it in the hallway
-If you didn't know it, you learned it in the hallway with the other men
Ladies- Cold and Fugue Season (New Song) measures 1-15
-Split into four parts (Alto 2, Alto 1, Soprano 2, Soprano 1)
-Altos are just down the octave from sopranos at the beginning
-Alto 2's.... keep your beat and don't loose it
-Be dramatic and loud on your 'Ha-kchoo's'
-Remember to keep tall vowels and strong consonants
-Mark your rests in measure 15
Festival Sanctus- Page 5 measures 28-32
-Keep the 'nomine domine' light and don't drag
-Tall vowels especially on 'Dei'
-We practiced singing it staccato to check pitch and keep it light
-Pay close attention to dynamics

Announcements:

All Peanut and Greenery Orders are due tomorrow with the money.  If you only sold Greenery online, then you do not need to turn anything in.  Let’s get one more push for the greenery! Tell everyone you know to purchase their Christmas tree from us!

Lowes Food Gift Card Money is due today - if you forgot it, please see Mrs. Patchett 

Phantom Call backs are today if you are needed please be in the seats of the auditorium at 2:29 pm 

Composite Chorus Pictures will be Friday Nov. 4. You must bring in your concert attire at the beginning of the school day so you can wear it for the picture.  You can wear your hair however you like for your picture.  We will take the pictures during our choir class period in the chorus room. You are not required to purchase the individual picture, but you will receive a proof of your picture later in November to see if you would like to purchase it. 

Beginning choir is giving an informance Tomorrow @ 7pm.  Beginning choir students are required to attend.  It is also a parent meeting.  Please encourage your parents to come to the very brief meeting.  Mrs. Patchett would also love to see a large group of concert choir and Colla Voce students in the audience to support Beginning choir in their first performance on stage. Again, the date is Nov. 1st 7 pm in the auditorium.
