HAPPY MONDAY!! :)

Ladies: Rehearsal tomorrow B Lunch in the auditorium

Rehearsal Notes and Assignments-
Bonny Lass-  Whole song
-We changed the key from G major to G flat major
-Make sure you are consistently light and bouncy throughout the song
-Falala's should have less of a space in between them
-We discussed what the words meant which led to more understanding about the mood and tone of the song (it's sort of a back and forth between two people)
-Worked on dynamics and timing
-Don't slow down on the second Falala's!
Prayer of the Children- Whole song
-'Can' should be 'Cahn'
-Make sure your vowels don't get icky towards the end of the song
-We added a mini crescendo before our big "Crying softly"
-Listen louder than you sing.. try to blend especially in this song
-The 'woh' section should be really powerful and beautiful
-Pay close attention to Ms. Patchett while she's conducting so you know what to do
-Remember the meaning of the song (especially around the holiday season) it's about children who are less fortunate and they may not have a home or a safe place to be. When singing this piece, we need to keep in mind the meaning and convey it through the way we sing.

7 Rehearsal Days until the the Winter Concert!!!

-Make sure you have the dress rehearsal and Concert times and dates in your calendar. It is a test grade for you to attend both in full. Dress Rehearsal is Dec. 1, 2:30-5:30 & Concerts are at 4:30 & 7:30. Call time to school on Dec. 2nd is 3:20pm. You must come dressed and ready to go. The Boosters will feed you dinner between concerts. 

- Any conflicts must be communicated to Ms. Patchett by Friday

-Please check the board for All Choir Lunch Rehearsal Dates

 - Your attendance to these rehearsals will affect your daily grade in class. If you have another required tutorial at the same time, have your teacher write me a note or an email and Mrs. Patchett will excuse you, otherwise you are required to be at the rehearsal. It is a required tutorial.-Tickets are available for the concert-. Order online and pay by cash or check to the chorus program and turn money into the grey box. Orders and money need to be in by Nov. 22. The link is going to be sent out via remind this afternoon and it is also on the website.

-All State Auditions will be Dec 6 B Lunch & Dec 8 All Lunch. Sign up link is on chorus website and Mrs. Patchett sent it out on a remind.
