Announcements:

Happy November!

All Peanut and Greenery Orders are due today with the money.  If you only sold Greenery online, then you do not need to turn anything in.  Wreath, Trees, and Garland sales are extended online only to 10:00 am Thursday!

Composite Chorus Pictures will be Friday Nov. 4. You must bring in your concert attire at the beginning of the school day so you can wear it for the picture.  You can wear your hair however you like for your picture.  We will take the pictures during our choir class period in the chorus room. You are not required to purchase the individual picture, but you will receive a proof of your picture later in November to see if you would like to purchase it. 

CV & CONCERT :Beginning choir is giving an informance Tonight @ 7pm.  Beginning choir students are required to attend.  It is also a parent meeting.  Please encourage your parents to come to the very brief meeting.  Mrs. Patchett would also love to see a large group of concert choir and Colla Voce students in the audience to support Beginning choir in their first performance on stage. Again, the date is TODAY Nov. 1st 7 pm in the auditorium.  

CV & CONCERT: If you are a senior and are interested in applying for the assistant Director position for Phantom of the opera, the application is on the HSTC website.  See Mr. Buttner for details.

ALL: Honors Chorus Rehearsal B lunch today and all lunch Thurs & Fri

Peanut and wreathe order forms were turned in today. Write your name, choir, and roll call number on the outside of the folder.

Rehearsal:

The First Nowell
-breathe mark in measure twelve after the word "sheep"
-"born" should be an arrival point
-each "Nowell" should be a little louder than the last
-no breath between measures 20 and 21
-decrescendo "Israel" in measures 23-24
-tenors, taller vowels in measures 25-32
-men, no breath after "star" in measure 28
-no breathe between measures 44 and 45 between "Nowell" and "born"
-sang this at both a slower and faster tempo

Men worked on Oh Come Oh Come Emanuel, while women got our women's piece, "Cold and Fugue Season"
-change "kchoo" to just "choo"
-Alto 2's, watch the alignment of the words to follow your last more easily
-learned measures 1-9

Ave Maria
-learned measures 27-32
-ran various chunks of the song

Homework: if you didn't bring in peanut and wreath forms today, get them in tomorrow ASAP!
